Canton Fair 140th session: the three phases, dates and what each one shows
The China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, runs in three phases. Each phase fills the halls with different product groups, so a buyer picks the phase by product and plans travel around its dates.
The organiser's website gives these dates for the 140th session, held in autumn 2026.

What each phase shows
The organiser publishes an English paragraph of exhibit content for each phase.
Phase 1 covers household electrical appliances, consumer electronics and information products, industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, processing machinery, power machinery and electric power, general machinery and basic parts, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, new materials and chemical products, new energy vehicles and smart mobility, vehicles, vehicle spare parts, motorcycles, bicycles, lighting equipment, electronic and electrical products, new energy resources, hardware and tools.
Phase 2 covers general ceramics, kitchenware and tableware, household items, glass artware, home decorations, gardening products, festival products, gifts and premiums, clocks, watches and optical instruments, art ceramics, weaving, rattan and iron products, building and decorative materials, sanitary and bathroom equipment, furniture, prefabricated housing and courtyard facilities, and the International Pavilion.
Phase 3 covers toys, children, baby and maternity products, kids' wear, men's and women's clothing, underwear, sports and casual wear, furs, leather, downs and related products, fashion accessories and fittings, textile raw materials and fabrics, shoes, cases and bags, home textiles, carpets and tapestries, office supplies, medicines, health products and medical devices, food, sports, travel and recreation products, personal care products, toiletries, pet products and food, traditional Chinese specialties, and the International Pavilion.

Choosing a phase
Match your product to the lists above. A buyer of kitchenware and furniture needs Phase 2; a buyer of toys and clothing needs Phase 3. If your range spans two phases, note the gap between them: Phase 1 ends on 19 October and Phase 2 starts on 23 October; Phase 2 ends on 27 October and Phase 3 starts on 31 October.
What is not known yet
When this article was written the official site showed no dates for the 141st session in spring 2027. The site's home page speaks of 13 sections and 54 exhibition areas, but no official list of the 54 areas was found; the exhibit text lists 57 items across the three phases. This article does not treat those items as the 54 areas.
